The Ontario Centre for Classical Sport (OCCS) is committed to the support of community and recreational programming for both fencing and archery. At the OCCS fencing and archery are considered not only competitive sports, they are also classical martial arts and recreational pursuits. We believe that pursuit of these classical sports can promote recreational, health, social and personal benefits.
Our instructors strive to make learning fencing and archery a fun and a rewarding experience, thereby instilling a passion for these sports in the participants. They are concerned with the long term athletic development of all their students, regardless of age. The OCCS strives to provide an environment to support lifelong pursuit of these classical sports.
Participants range in age from 6 and up. For long term participants, opportunities are provided for leadership and coaching development.
Enhanced performance training is available for those who wish to actively compete in fencing.
We are proud to be partnered with the City of Mississauga. In addition to regular fencing classes, OCCS also provides specific programming for home schooled youth, special needs youth, high school physical education classes and corporate events.
OCCS is committed to providing quality programming in a safe and fun environment for its members and guest alike.
This commitment is embodied in its instructors, its associates, and its owners.
